Graduate, Merchandising & Buying
I graduated in fashion marketing in the UK and wasn’t quite sure where I would like my career to go. After moving to California a couple of years after Uni I applied for the role of merchandise assistant in the LA buying office and that is where my TJX journey began.
I have since joined our merchandising and buying programme in Watford and the company were very supportive during my relocation. In the last three years I’ve moved countries and departments, and every team I’ve worked in has been very supportive of me and my goals. What I love most about TJX is our culture, everyone works collaboratively and open to conversation. I am an allocation analyst in men’s shoes which I have done for six months and it has been a wonderful experience. My work is very flexible, and every day is different, which makes it more interesting and fun. I tailor my week according to the needs of the business, in terms of monitoring my departments shipping and our shipping strategies throughout the year. What I like most is being able to go to stores and see our shipping strategies come to life.
