Loss Prevention (Physical & Technical Security) Level 4 Apprenticeship

As part of the Central Loss Prevention Function (based in our Head Office in Watford) you’ll be based in our Global Safety and Security, Investigations and Physical and Technical Security team (who look after a range of security systems and activities for the function and our European business).

Over the course of this 21-month Apprenticeship Programme – you’ll study towards the Level 4 Protective Security Advisor Apprenticeship standard with Mercury Training, a UK leading provider of security, facilities management and operational leadership training and apprenticeships. You’ll build your knowledge and awareness of our TJX Physical & Technical Security framework, associated systems and equipment and key aspects of Protective security.

Alignment with the eligibility criteria of the Apprenticeship funding rules

You'll need a valid and eligible residency status, right to work in England and depending on your immigration status, you may also need to demonstrate that you've lived continuously in the UK for at least 3 years.

Alignment with the Apprenticeship standard requirements

3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or higher) or have completed a Level-3 Apprenticeship.

European Language Skills

Language skills in German, Polish, Dutch or Spanish would be advantageous.

What to expect from the programme

Throughout this 21-month apprenticeship – you’ll be based in our Global Safety and Security, Investigations and Physical and Technical Security team, and will study towards the Level 4 Protective Security Advisor Apprenticeship Standard (equivalent to a foundation degree) with Mercury Training, a UK leading provider of security, facilities management and operational leadership training and apprenticeships.

Throughout your apprenticeship you’ll develop knowledge of our Physical & Technical Security systems (e.g. CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms); support the creation, maintenance and delivery of training, playing a part in ensuring operational best practice in using our physical security systems; assisting the team in delivering key business objectives and projects and playing a part in continuous improvement initiatives.
